Club Doubles Tournament! Registration Closes Saturday!

The singles portion of the Mitch Nutick Club Championship was a lot of fun back in January and produced some great tennis — in case you missed the write-up, here it is. And now it’s time for the doubles half! The doubles tournament will be held June 16-17, with registration closing this Saturday, June 2. We’ve had a couple hiccups with the online registration, so I’m going to include a hard copy application for everyone. This application will also be on the LATA homepage. You can mail or scan/email the application to me. Payments can be made by check or Paypal like before. Any combination is fine. You can still sign up online at the following link: http://glta.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/tournament.aspx?id=023D63EF-C595-4F9E-9DC0-95E8D34F6863. I’d suggest that if you’re having difficulties signing up online to go ahead and fill out the hard copy application.
I’ve had a couple people ask me about the number of matches to expect. Every team is guaranteed two matches. If the draws are eight teams or less, I’ll do my best to have a round robin format to give everyone as many matches as possible. You can see who has signed up by clicking on the link above and going to “events”. Then click on each division to see who has registered. I’ll update this page every day or so.
My apologies to anyone who’s had problems with the online registration. The main goal is to make things run smoother for all of us in the long run. Unfortunately, we sometimes we hit rough patches along the way to get to the end result.
