Hello LATA Members! I sent the below in an email to the membership a few days ago. Putting this up as a reminder or for anyone who didn’t get the email for some reason. We still have spots — come out and watch some great tennis with your LATA friends! — John
Hello LATA Members!
As you probably know, the French Open is underway. There’s already been plenty of high drama, but it will come to its peak the day of the men’s final, June 10th. Coincidentally, that’s also the day of LA Pride, but before you get off to celebrating who we are, you’re invited to watch the men’s final at the home of Luis Melo out in lovely Encino. Luis and his partner have a great game-room setup, and it’s always fun to watch a big match with other tennis-playing friends.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
— Luis only has room for about 20 guests. So if you’re planning to come, you must RSVP to me. I will confirm with you that there is still room. PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP WITHOUT HAVING COMMUNICATED WITH ME. Luis is opening his house; the least we can do is make things as easy as possible for him.
— Refreshments will be available, but you’re welcome to bring anything you like to share.
— The match starts live at 6 AM Pacific. That is NOT when we are getting together. So if you’re coming and can’t resist checking out the result before you arrive, keep it under your hat. Please don’t ruin other people’s good time by spoiling the result, and refrain from dropping “cute” hints or predictions.
Now, here’s the attendance info:
WHERE: Luis Melo’s Game Room
18015 Santa Rita Street
Encino, CA 91316 (If something comes up the day of the event, you can call Luis directly at 714-313-3809)
WHEN: Sunday, June 10, 10 AM
Again, don’t forget to RSVP if you’re coming, and please contact me directly with any questions. My # is 212-920-1224. Looking forward to watching some great tennis with fellow league members!
Best,
John Ramos
